This place was buzzing and the 3 Euro drinks appeard to be the main attraction. All the TV's were on the X-Factor final and we needed to get out as quickly as possible
Pub 9: Sheridans
Another X-Factor pub but without any customers...help
Pub 10: Alfie Hales
Alfies was the busiest pub of the night and full of interesting characters. In reflection it may have just appeared to be busy after 10 drinks.
Pub 11: Downses
Always a good call going here and tonight was no exception. Nice to break the round up with some fine German beers.
Pub 12: The Old Ground
Things are not going well when you have no customers on a Saturday evening 2 weeks before Christmas. At least we provided a brisk 5 minute busy spell for the barman. This was also the point where some of us made the 12 pub mark. We also enjoyed Day Trippers new skills as he put LLF to sleep. Not a difficult task but skillfully done.
Pub 13: The Showboat
As our President missed the first venue it was only fitting that we added a final 13th pub so he could make the 12 pub mark. It was right to go here but it was wrong to try and play pool. Shameful.
So we survived our first ever 12 pubs of Christmas and although we were all tired and emothional the next day it will be on the 2011 calendar of events.
