Hack Island Tour - Friday 28th May 2010
Our 5th trip to Hack was one of our best yet. Amazingly over 10 of us made it to Jack Meades before 6:30pm. Many to avail of the fine dining on offer. LLF tucked into an enormous helping of ribs with 10 scoops of smash. In his excitement he was spotted using 2 sets of cutlery at the same time. Meades was packed so we fear some of our new facebook friends may have missed us. We did look out for Johnville FC and Kitty Keirnans Pub but we did not see them.

With all assembled and fed early we were able to make an ontime depature to Hack. JB Cabs were summoned and within 5 mins 2 large taxicabs did arrive. As is the norm, the ferry was over at the hack side when we arrived allowing us time to get our Hip flasks charged for the crossing. On arrival to Byrnes we got our normal welcome of silence followed by cold dark staring. We really must bring a banjo next year. One of us asked if they knew the score in the Ireland match. We were promptly told "we don't follow that sport here" (sigh). We however moved into the fabulous beer garden to take in the views.

Day Tripper was the last to arrive on the tour. We had been told he was on the next ferry and sure enough as it swung round to dock at hack he could be clearly seen standing alone in the middle of the car deck in a pose that would make Hannibal Lector proud. At this point we would like to ask Mark Bristol's mum not to be feeding him tripe before he comes on tour. Despite being outdoors and the breeze we were forced on several occasions to abandon the beer garden for our own safety.
